The price of electricity seems to be being hiked up by the power companies on a regular basis nowadays. At the same time it seems that we have more power cuts and outages than we used to do. It simply seems that the large utility companies do not really care about us little people, all they are interested in doing is making profits for their shareholders.
It is time to fight back.
A brilliant way that we can do this is to install some residential solar panels in our homes and we can get a home solar system of our own and be totally independent to the major power companies.

4. To provide power for our sheds. Solar panels are very flexible and we can just build a small one simply to provide some electricity for our shed light and the electrical tools we use in it. The big advantage with this is that it can be a totally stand alone unit so there will not be any need for wires trailing through the yard or on poles above it.
I am sure that you can think of other uses for one.
There is obviously an initial outlay to install a home solar system but now that the solar panel price is falling, it does not have to cost a fortune. There will be very little maintenance needed after the initial set up so you will not be paying regular bills to your on grids electricity supplier.
In fact, if you can get off grid yourself and produce more electricity than you need, many energy companies will actually pay you to use your surplus electricity.
Solar power, I believe, is the energy of the future. It does not need large power stations to keep it going, it is a green fuel and will certainly not run out for many generations.
